Privacy Statement

One Family AT A Time (OFAAT) respects the privacy of its members, donors and clients, and complies with the Privacy Act 1988, the Australian Privacy Principles, Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic) and the Health Privacy Principles in the Health Records Act 2001 (Vic), which set clear standards for the collection, access, storage and use of personal information which is obtained as part of its normal operations. 

Personal information is not disclosed unless OFAAT is required by law to do so, nor is personal information published in publications or on OFAAT’s website without explicit/express consent.

The OFAAT Board has adopted a Privacy and Confidentiality Policy and Procedure, which set out in detail how OFAAT will collect and deal with personal information and responsibilities for managing privacy. A copy of the policy and procedure is available upon request.

OFAAT takes all reasonable steps to protect the personal information it holds from misuse, and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. However, OFAAT may collect, use and disclose personal information for purposes of fundraising which includes:

  • Communication about donations, services, campaigns and events
  • To process and record donations and receipts
  • Outsource to third parties (such as Give Now) certain tasks
